I only need temporary storage, must I sign a long term contract?
No! We understand everyone’s storage needs are different and we work with you to keep your items safe for the time that you need. Call our office today to discuss our secured storage options.
Must I empty my drawers before the moving team arrives?
We highly recommend emptying all contents from drawers. The moving team will blanket, shrink wrap, and dolly your dressers and nightstands so that they fit through your hallways and doors. If contents are left inside, they may shift or get damaged during transport.
I am moving out of state, is pearson moving registered with the fmcsa for interstate transport?

What preparations must I make before my move?
- Use closed-top boxes to pack up your items
- Empty all dresser and nightstand doors
- Make room for the moving truck to be in your driveway or street
- Disconnect all appliances that will need to be moved
- Label boxes for which room they should be placed in
- Label all rooms with matching labels to their boxes
- Keep a clear pathway for the movers to work with
- Call our office as soon as you know your move is going to happen
- Keep all personal documents and items in a quick-access area
- Keep pets at a family member’s or friend’s house
- Contact your cable/internet provider to schedule the transfer of accounts
- Clear out your refrigerator during the week of moving day
Can I book my move entirely online?
Absolutely! Start by getting your free quote by calling us or if you are ready, then, proceed to picking out your desired moving date and time. Next, a booking agent will call you to confirm your move and time. Finally, a big shiny Pearson Moving truck will arrive at your location at your chosen time!
Will Pearson Moving protect my home during moving day?
Yes. Pearson Moving will protect your door, banister, and flooring during moving day! We utilize blankets and other materials to ensure your home stays as clean as it was before we arrived!
What insurance is provided with my move?
Moving companies are not allowed to sell insurance to their clients. This requires an insurance brokerage license. All moving companies must abide by the United States Department of Weights and Measures $.60/lb valuation for all damages. This is free coverage included with your move cost. Do I lose my booking deposit if I cancel or change my moving date?
You will not lose your booking deposit if you have to change your moving date to another open availability. If a reschedule is necessary during the week of your move, a fee may be assessed. We understand things happen while moving and we want to make your move headache free. If your move must be canceled indefinitely, the booking deposit will be used to cover the costs incurred.
